Gear, rarity and refining

Slots

Each character equips one piece per slot: head, chest, legs, right hand, left hand and accessory. Equipping a new piece in the same slot unequips the previous one, which returns to your bag.

Items have requirements: a minimum level and sometimes a specific class. If you cannot use it, the equip button does not appear.

Rarity

Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Rarity signals how strong the bonuses are (ATK, DEF, HP, MP, Speed and crit) and drives the sale price.

Refining (Forge)

At the Forge you spend gold — and, past certain levels, materials — to refine a piece of gear up to +15. Each refine level increases the item's bonuses.

Risk grows with it:

  • early refines have a 100% success chance;
  • at mid levels the chance drops;
  • at high levels, failing can lower the item's refine level.

The gold cost rises every level. Refining an item you are about to replace is usually wasted gold.

Crafting

The Forge's Craft tab turns materials into items, following recipes with a gold cost and a success chance.
