Skills and temporary buffs

Each class has its own skill tree, split into paths.

Full tables: the Skill paths page lists all 9 paths skill by skill — unlock level, MP cost from level 1 to 5, power, effects, buff duration and the description of every level. The numbers are read straight from the game.

Skill points

You earn 1 skill point every 5 levels and spend it on your class skills — you can't upgrade them all, so pick the ones that fit your style. Skills have a minimum level to unlock and can be upgraded — each level increases the effect and usually the MP cost.

Active and passive

  • Active skills must be equipped in a skill slot (the number of slots grows with your level) and cost MP to use.
  • Passive skills are always on, take no slot and cost nothing.

Temporary buffs

Buff skills raise ATK, DEF or Speed — but they are not permanent:

  • they last 3 of the target's turns by default (the counter drops when they act);
  • they stack at most 3 times per attribute;
  • past that limit, casting again only refreshes the duration.

So: stacking buffs before attacking helps, but it does not replace damage. Time spent buffing is time the enemy spends hitting you.

There are no cooldowns

No skill has a cooldown: the only limit is MP. You can repeat the same skill turn after turn for as long as the mana lasts. The only waiting is how long effects last (bleed, poison, buffs).

Healing

Healing skills never exceed maximum HP — healing at full life wastes both the MP and the turn.
